In order to run SimUText on an M1 or M2 Mac, you need to have the Rosetta application installed. The first time you launch an Intel-based application on your M1 or M2 Mac, you should see a pop-up window asking if you would like to install Rosetta.
If you don't get the pop-up, then you will need to install Rosetta manually as follows:
- Navigate to your Applications folder and then the Utilities folder.
- Open the Terminal application.
- Type the following into Terminal and hit enter which will launch the Rosetta installer and prompt you to agree to the Rosetta license agreement:
- Restart your computer.
After Rosetta is installed, you should be able to launch SimUText (as well as any other Intel-based application).
