SimUText window is too small with Windows 8 or 10

Problem :
When you launch SimUText on a computer running Windows 8 or Windows 10, the application is small and nearly impossible to read.  The problem is actually the HDPI (High dots per inch) screen on your laptop or Surface Pro. Windows does not currently support scaling for 3rd party software.

Action:
There are a few possible work arounds for this issue.

  1. Go to the Control Panel and select "Adjust Screen Resolution" under Appearance and Personalization
  2. Select "Make text and other items appear larger or smaller"
  3. Use the slider to adjust the size of items and then select "Apply" Launch SimUText and see if the window size is better.

or

  1. adjust the resolution to a lower setting.  such as 1024 x768. You may have to change it a few times to find the one that works best for your screen size.

Once you restart your computer,  you should be able to open SimUText and have a larger screen.  This may make other windows too large,  if this is the case, you will have to adjust your settings after you are done using SimUText.

Another work around is to use an external monitor with a normal DPI while you are using SimUText.
